Report

Dissapointing result - well deserved victory for Vikings

Nippon started this Sat match with a very unusual setup, missing so many core players due to other Japanese league matches and numbers of injured/sick players which inplied that it was going to be a tough game. It was as tough as expected (or perhaps even more), allowing Vikings firing many dangerous shots from the beginning. From a loose defence in the midfield, the team allowed the right side midfielder to cut in and beam a beautiful shot which was buried into the side net. 0-1 Soon after, a cross from the left side reflected after hitting Nippon defence and found the ace striker who never missed it. 0-2 At the end of the first half, another middle shot was fired from a simple pass exchange which found the side net. 0-3 In the half time, Nippon changed the formation and strategy after realizing that Vikings was a bit different than usual. This seemed ok, but unfortunately, Nippon easily allowed the ace striker to cut into the penalty and was punished by an own goal in the very first few minutes which made the team down. 0-4 However, Nippon never stopped running and fighting. The team managed to regain a score from a free kick quick start. Kudos to Jo and Chechu. 1-4 This energized the team, but they were again punished by the reds. A cross from the left side found the far side player who passed the ball to a well positioned red player in the box. Easy finish and that was the 5th goal. 1-5 The last goal was from a loose defence, the ace striker (who was helping his peers a lot to score today) found the forward running into the space who won the 1vs1 with the keeper and scored the ending goal. 1-6. Well done to Vikings and we certainly look forward to the next match.
