First victory in 2020

German Swiss All-Stars managed to score their 1st goal by a header of No14 from a free-kick in the first 5 minutes after the kick-off. The game tide seemed to be inclined to German Swiss but FC Nippon's high pressure caused many troubles and they were soon rewarded with a goal on 20minutes by Ryota Muraki who beautifully finished a volley with his left foot. Furthermore, on 30minutes, FC Nippon scored another goal. Shoya Miyashita ran into a long pass from Tom Yoshida and a rebound came right in frond of Kiyomichi Tsugeki who hit a loop shot and the ball went straight into the goal of German Swiss. Subsequently, both team did not create remarkable chances for the rest of 1st half but many discussions took place in the half time. After the kick-off in the 2nd half, German Swiss started feeding a long pass into the space between the defense line and keeper. They tried to make best use of their heights being taller than FC Nippon but their defenders were stable and did not present any major chance to German Swiss. Both team started playing less aggressively in comparison to the 1st half due to the fatigue but the next goal was given to FC Nippon. On 70minutes, a combination between Koichiro Kosugi and Ryuhei Ikeda made a confusion to German Swiss, and Ikeda sent a through-pass to Akihiro Hori. Hori subsequently crossed the ball to Shoya Miyashita who hit it right into the goal net. This 3rd goal did put an end to this match and FC Nippon head a whistle of victory! Always a tough opponent to play against, we wish German Swiss All-Stars all the best!

Powerful Nippon too strong for GAS

After a 2-weeks break, GAS faced a powerful Nippon team on Saturday afternoon. Starting with a 4:4:2 formation, GAS was pressured early deep in their own half and had challenges to keep up with the pace Nippon brought on the pitch. Dee brought GAS 1:0 in front but Nippon had a direct response and scored with a beautiful shot in the goal angle. GAS took time to recover from this setback and a misunderstanding in GAS’ defense led to a 1:2 half-time result for Nippon. With changing sites, GAS’ came back with a more offensive strategy, created chances but missed to score the equaliser. Nippon proofed to be too strong on this day and could finish a counter attack to a 1:3 result. GAS say thanks to referee, his team, and Nippon for the fair game and wishes them good luck for the rest of the season.
