Friday Nathan Fever

With 2 weeks off during the CNY the team had a concern however in the end strong 13 players turned up at new venue UWC Tampines, facing a contest against a formidable Lions. The game started with high tempo from both side up until Nathan scored a header from cross by new starting debut Eugene from left wing. In the middle of the park, Jordi and Paddy battled a lot and delivered a critical feed into a space behind defensive line. As a new buddy upfront with Mike, Nathan was eager to put himself into the top page of cosmo league website, top scorer dashboard, put a fire on himself tonight. Second goal was again delivered by him with again Eugene's kind assist, this time he ran into 18y and eventually 6y box to receive the ball, and toss to Nathan. Third one was generated from own effort of Nathan, chasing the ball and put lots of pressure onto defenders and goalkeeper, stole and showed his lob over few opponents. Fourth was assisted by his buddy left some defenders behind and came into 18y box from left side, provided a kind pass to golden Bryer for all of our happiness!! Apart from sent-off given to us we all were satisfied with result, especially kept a clean sheet (welcome CSC back!). Thanks to Lions for competitive game and good luck to a rest of your season. Rangers looks forward to another series of tough games ahead in this season!

Revenge for Rangers

Well this was our first league loss at UWC Tampines and quite honestly the result was a fair reflection of the game. Despite several players missing due to CNY holidays, we fielded what i felt was strong enough squad to get something from the game. After beating them 3-0 earlier on in the season, but seeing them put an incredible string of wins together, we knew we were in for a battle but i think it's fair to say we had a bad night at the office. They were fitter, tactically more astute, clinical in front of goal, pressed the game into our half and demonstrated why they are top of the league. We will lick our wounds, regroup and move forward in the knowledge that we are unlikely to have another night like that for the rest of the season. Congratulations Rangers and i sincerely hope you go on to win the league.
