The Vikings with a great comeback!

Kick off on field 2 in the freshly hazed air Good intensity from the beginning from both teams. First chance til vikings after 5 min but good save by the keeper Vikings are showing strong skills on set pieces and both first and second corner lead to some confusion and half chances in the box. Gigantic chance for Tommie and the Vikings after 15 min - rush up the right sideline by Jonas (number 7 never seen faster Rafa) - cross to Tommie who very unfortunate gets his shot deflected by the defender. Yellow card to Domino after 20 min for stopping a possible counter attack for Gaulois. Water break - Vikings dominating the game but Gaulois started to fight their way back in the last minutes. Brian US with a chance - well played on the right hand side by Domino and Elbo but the shot was missing a bit of quality this time. Minutes after US get another chance but well defended this time. Peter Boe with a header but just outside the far post - very good period for Vikings now. Gaulois remains dangerous on counters but Eu Jin have been confident in his actions and nothing have been really dangerous yet. Yellow card Gaulois - free kick Vikings outside the box and with a thunder bolt from 25 meters out Alex makes it 1-0. Fully deserved... Half time Simon on the cross bar - huge chance after 5 min of second half. Vikings continues to dominate but crucial to stay organized best shown minutes after when Gaulois gets a big chance on counter but deflected and still 1-0. Out of the blue - penalty for Gaulois. Hand ball in the box after a corner and it leads to the equalizer.. Not in accordance with the game but a great energy boost for the Gaulois and they are dominating now with great runs from their wingers. Substitution from Vikings - Jonas leaves the pitch and Lukas replaces him. Vikings trying to push back and Tommy with a good opportunity but the cold left foot didn't have the necessary accuracy in the situation. Another good chance for Gailois around 25min played if second half but Vikings manages to kick it away on the goal line.. Simon leaves the pitch and Lasse enters. 1-2 after a throw in from the Vikings that ends up at the feet of a Gaulois and goes untouched in the box and makes a cross that Lasse unfortunately puts in own goal. Vikings have lost the concept a bit and Gaulois are taking advantage immediately just before the water break. Free kick just outside the box for Vikings but in the wall and on the following counter Gaulois makes it 1-3. Up hill now for the Vikings. Yellow card for Peter Boe from Vikings for talking too much. Panda leaves and is being replaced by Karl Martin No real direction in the game right now - Vikings tries to establish a pressure but with mixed success and no big chances so far. 2-3 by Brian US after a long ball to the box that gets deflected off the keep and lands at the feet of US - new hope for Vikings Yellow card Gaulois for an elbow on Elbo(w). Brian with left foot but good save by the keeper this time - hectic finish to the game now. 3-3 by Elbo with less than a minute left after huge pressure. Domino with a high ball into the box and Tommie holds off two defenders(been hitting the bench lately?) and lays it of to Elbo that punches it in with his shin! What a celebration from Elbo, never seen him this happy! The most dangerous man on the team when behind 3-2. Ref blows the whistle shortly after and the Vikings celebrate yet another great comeback. However looking at the game as a whole we should have taken advantage of our chances and closed the game earlier. Thanks to OG for a great game with good intensity.

NOT SO EASY START

Finally Comsoleague resume for Olympique Gaulois and all squad was very eager to start after this long break. Our new players Sam, Mab and François were here to help the team as well as our not so new keeper Chris after few months of injury. In the past, Gaulois had difficulties with first games of the season and we know it will not be easy against the Vikings who won for the second year in a row the windmill cup. Vikings have played a very strong first half and create few opportunities to score. Gaulois team was unable to play properly on the first half with very little space given by the opponents. The defense hold as much as it can until a strong free kick at the entrance of the box . 1-0 at half time. Second half, Gaulois show more interesting skills and created few opportunities. Ali scored on a penalty kick due to a hand in the box following a corner kick. Second goal came a few minutes later from the right when Andy dribble in the box few players and his cross end up as an own goal from Vikings. Gaulois even manage to score a third goal, thanks to Max S after a good cross from Sam. Greta Goal. Gaulois were thinking at this stage to hold a good result but Vikings keep pushing an the last minutes and managed to score twice... Final Score 3-3. Fair result but big disappointment on Gaulois side after the final whistle. All credit to Vikings who never give up and managed to score 2 goals in the last 10 minutes. No time to think much, next game against Casual on Friday MOM Gaulois : Sam. Give to Gaulois the pace on second half MOM Vikings : Thomas Sorensen, strong at the front line
