1TM-Latini in tune underneath the Super blue blood moon

Friday night lights had us up against the Werewolves that are Casuals, a team which only seem to be let out to play football when the sun is firmly set and darkness covers the island of Singapore. 1TM-Latini were looking for back to back wins and Tally tweaked the line up a touch with Scoop being suspended and LTG+Baker late arrivals (FINES), in came Raver, Leo and Abdul for his 1st cosmo career start. New signing Bonzo had to make do with a place on the bench, he wouldn’t get to show off his box of tricks until the 2nd half. We started very brightly indeed, playing the ball around neatly and creating some early chances. Casuals keeper made some awesome early saves, 1st he did his best Peter Schmicheal impression to star-jump and block a Raver header from all of 1 yard, then he prevented Rory from scoring twice with some acrobatic stops. We did take the lead though through TARD who looked lively throughout the 1st half, he latched onto a 1st time Lego through ball and stabbed home. Casuals had a strong finish to the half and equalized with 5 mins remaining to take us into the half level. HT 1-1. A strange situation at the half finding ourselves level after a great 1st half performance but the message from Tally was more of the same and the result will come. He wasn’t wrong, they don’t call him Merlin for nothing. Some industrious work by Lego down the right led to him nicking the ball off the oppo defender and cutting back to Rory A in the box who connected well with a low hard finish. 2-1. A third came shortly after in sensational fashion as Rory A collected the ball on the halfway line and drove into the Casuals box and powered home. (Not quite sure it warranted the ‘Maradona goal’ label he himself came up with post-match, but a very impressive goal from the young lad.) FT 3-1. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Anderson (camera crew) for the support. Thanks to Casuals for the game without any incident and good luck for the run in. Can we keep the ROLL going next week versus the SWISS….? Back to the best pitch on the island after a 2 week road trip around the island. The great thing about UWC is that the lights work…. ; ) A butchered squad rocked up – low on numbers, big on morale after trouncing the frogs the week before. Oli was back after another unsuccessful weekend of dating. Sultzy managed to get out of studying…apparently he has self-confessed eidetic memory however this doesn’t apply when looking for the goal. Fraze kept his team talk down to 23mins this week which was pleasing and was now off his vegan diet however from hereon in he is known as “Linda”. Game started really well for Casuals and when I say Casuals I mean the Colonel who made 2 world class saves within 5mins! In fairness they should have been scored and I suspect eidetic would have slammed it in but alas the Colonel made Sam Johnstone look average. In fairness the saves, that were caught on camera, were probably down to the intensive and strategic warm up than Andy put him through before the game. The defence let him down again with this time former Casuals reserve sub player scoring to make it 1-0. The rest of the game was low on quality to be honest with neither side really controlling the ball. Just before half time Casuals got a deserved equaliser 1-1 game on (cant remember the goal). Chat at the half time was that our levels had dropped from last week and that we were in the game on 3rd gear. The game started similar to the first however Casuals had a little more ball than the first and Joe was causing a little trouble up top. Linda then had a little moment when he could have cleared his lines but actioned one of Ed Sheeran’s lyrics “When your legs don't work like they used to before” and therefore Fraze aka Linda shall now be known as ‘Ranga’. Joe had a few efforts dragged wide and he tried his best to recreate his hero’s skills being Darren Huckerby. Casuals ran out of ideas and eventually finished 301 to Latini. Decent effort by Casuals but lacked the intensity from the week before. MOM – Sanders just for the 2 saves at the start. MOM – Latini – young lad up top.
