3 in a row for the monkeys

A decent end to the season capped off with a 6-1 victory against the swiss. We started very well and salem created danger on the left wing for JJ to slot home. Shortly after JJ provided a chance for addy who smashed into the top corner to make it 2-0. 3-0 came when good work from Ivan saw addy again in space and he finished well to give us the 3-0 cushion before half time. The swiss were competing well and their left winger was doing his best to get in behind. Second half and the sun got the better of us, minimal chances for the first 20 minutes as both teams looked exhausted. We brought on the subs and immediately pressurised the swiss guys. JJ got a free kick, addy completed his hayrick after a nice 1-2 and Tito came off to bench to score a nice header from an Ivan cross. Thanks to the swiss for a fair game, MOM to young man in Midfield. MOM for us was polo, great to see him back. Happy christmas, see you all in the new year.

Strong Aioli leave Swiss no chance

After a good outing against Rangers last week (at least for 77 minutes...), Swiss FC was keen to continue on a positive trajectory. But Aioli had other ideas and immediately took the initiative. They were very dangerous with their long diagonal balls and from one such pass they took the lead on 14 minutes. Swiss always on the backfoot in these first 20 minutes, and when Nico slipped at the most unfortunate moment, the Aioli striker made no mistake. 2:0 Aioli at the water break. Joe made some incredible saves to keep the Swiss in the game. A first change in the Swiss line-up and for the next 20 minutes we were in the game. Andrew combined well with Mostafa, but it was Aioli who scored the next goal just before half time. Another change in the line-up and some positional changes and Swiss looked better after the break. It was hard work against a very well organized and efficient Aioli team. Swiss had a mild penalty shout when the keeper touched Andrew in the box one-on-one, but Andrew decided to stay on his feet, which probably save the keeper a yellow card and a penalty. A couple of minutes later Joe was judged to have handled the ball outside of the box, and from the resulting freekick Aioli put the contest beyond doubt. Two more Aioli goals, before Paul pulled one back with a looping header from a great freekick taken by Roy. On today's form, Aioli is the best team in the league we have played so far after SCC. Our journey towards the first result of the season continues. WE have one more chance against our German friends.
