A good game of football between two team who struggling for players. An long night at turf city that saw us go through to the quarter final after a penalty shoot out. First half was relatively even with both team creating a few chances. Ultimately Gaulois open up the score thanks to Leo from a corner. Aioli responded a few minutes later with a long ball over the defense for a classic Run a clinical finish from Mark. 1-1 HT which reflected the run of the game. Second half was also fairly even with maybe Aioli this time holding a bit more the ball but again both team has a few chances to took the lead earlier on. With 5 min to go it is Aioli who score what we all though would be the final goal of the night. A handling mistake from a long range shoot allowed Aioli to lead 2-1. Somehow we woke up in the last 5min and create 2 clear chances to come back but it was in the dying minute that OG equalized via a penalty for a handball in the box. During extra time the spaces open up and OG took the lead in the first half after a good move who saw Rob release in between 2 defenders for him to face the keeper and pass it to Remi who had an easy tap in. We had clear chances to kill the game but it was ment to happen and with 5min to go Aioli got their equalizer. We had a final clear chance to seal the game when Leo shot over the bar 1m away from the goal line. Penalty shoot out it is. We got all 5 in, and Keion manage to stop one. 5-4.

Great game of football full of intensity, goals, emotions. Both OG and Aioli Monkeys displayed what we are capable of, with some great football despite limited subs and a really hard fought extra time. Sadly the game was highly affected by a last minute penalty given by the linesman, despite the ball not even coming close to our player's hand, probably influenced by half of the OG team and bench asking for it. Not the greatest fair play to see some of the OG players admitting that they were asking for it despite knowing it wasn't a penalty, well, I guess this is what Modern Football is all about nowadays. Anyway, game could have gone either way and we wish OG all the best in the cup. This Saturday we will face each other in the league and we are sure it will be a great game of football again.
