Winning Start to 2018

After really struggling to get any points in the lead-up to Christmas. It was nice to see Hotspurs return to the pitch with a win on Saturday. 3 quick first-half goals courtesy of Nick K (2) and Lionel put HFC in pole position, and despite a slight scare when the French brought it back to 3-2 in the second half, Hotspurs were able to shut the game off late on with a well-converted penalty from Matt Young, after man of the match Lionel had won the spot kick. Thanks for the French for a well-fought game, and onto the Swiss next week.

BAD START

First game for the Gaulois after 2 months without playing. With no preparation, we knew it would be a difficult game against Hotspurs. And indeed after 15 minutes of game only, OG were already 3 goals down. No time to think about the goals, OG try to control the ball and play simple. Good spirit shown here despite this bad start. OG manage to score two goals. One after a header from Nordine that end up on the post and bounced back into Hotspurs defender and another one from a great free kick from Iss. Gaulois were only one goal down but a penalty end OG players hopes for a final score of 4-2. Thanks to the hotspurs for this fair game. Gaulois will have to be ready next week end against Latini
