Performance of the season

A game of great importance in the race for the top 4. We expected a tight encounter that would hinge on a few moments but an early goal put us in control and we never looked back. We set ourselves up to keep it tight at the back and make it difficult for OGS. This meant OGS wit lots of posession with us deep in our half defending. Each time we broke away we looked dangerous and it was after 20 minutes a flick on by eric fed mark in the left channel and he turned inside to smash it home, keeper got a hand to it but couldn't stop it. 25 minutes, addy receives in own half beats one and plays a through ball for himself, bearing down on goal the keeper stands up tall, addy rounds him and runs straight off the pitch. The plan was working, we were looking dangerous on the break. I think it was 1-0 at HT. OGS had a lot of possession but no shots on goal. Second half more of the same, OGS possession and APM creating chances on the break. Addy got the second when put through by itchy and his 3rd after stealing the ball from a french midfielder. The fourth was a throw from itchy that the french didn't clear and addy snuck i behind and from an awkward angle and volleyed passed the keeper. The fifth was a through ball by Addy for Andy on the left wing who squared for Tito to smash into the roof of the net. Our best performance this year, Back 4 were outstanding and didn't allow OGS anything all game. MOM was Addy who is unstoppable in this form. We hit form late in the season but with 3 games to play we are still battling for 4th spot. 2 weeks break now.

A no show from the Gaulois

OG came onto the pitch with the wrong attitude and was rightfully punished by Aioli. A no show from OG you gave an easy win away to our opponent. There is not much to be said from OG on this game was we were outran tactically, technically and mentally. Aioli took the lead early in the game following individual mistakes and secure a 2 nil lead at half time. OG defense was to slow to react, midfield to high to defend and wingers and striker too difficult to reach. Coach Simon tried to reshuffle the pack at half time which had a positive impact for the first 10min before another individual mistake gave the killer goal away to Aioli. They later scored 2 more and wrap up an easy win. MOM OG: none obviously. MOM Aioli: Mark Addy for scoring 4 goals and lead Aioli s attacks well.
