Thunder struck

Swiss GK couldn't reach on time and both agreed to wait 10 mins. But the GK still couldn't and Swiss manger had to do starting GK. The game ended at 75 minutes due to lightning. Swiss could have played more. Tony and Nippon manager discussed about current league rule and found out some space for rule change. 01: The game started with a bit of Nippon possession. 05: Koji's header from CK was beautiful opener. (1-0) 26: Swiss equalized with counter attacking. (1-1) 36: Shoma kept and passed Mochi. Mochi made it. (2-1) 45: The last game guy Shoma possessed near the box and gave gentle pass to Kaki. Kaki's great goal was far above the GK's reach. (3-1) 50: Koji aggressively chased Swiss DFs and got it. His hard work effort goal. (4-1) 59: DF and GK had miscommunication and gave to Swiss. (4-2) 71: Yusuke did not miss Swiss DFs miss pass. He dribbled straight toward the GK and made it. (5-2) 75: Lightning started just near by and game was set.

Final Nail in the Coffin

Hyped up as our "Cup Final" and further fuelled by bitter memories of the first game (defeat & serious injuries incurred), we left the pitch in the end feeling rather the opposite and wishing the season was finished. Not a good start missing both goalkeepers but we managed to scramble a replacement one hour before kick off. Thanks Derek for standing in (and Urs, for the first 3 mins!). 2 early goals from headers (set pieces) put Nippon in the front foot, despite some nice combination plays from our young guns upfront. Samir pulled one back after such a move and Joel could have also scored a couple after almost capitalising on defensive errors. No revival as an individual mistake in defence lead to a 3rd and it was downhill from there. Defeatist attitudes from some players, and another individual error lead to more Nippon goals. 2-5 in the end. Season couldn't be over soonest. For a season that started with so much promise, at the end, you got to get points under your belt. Who knows what will happen next....
