FAIR DRAW

A lot of missing players this week end, but Gaulois were still able to gather a strong team to play against Germans. François who left a few weeks back was here to help but it has not been enough to get three points. The game was able to start on time and in quite good conditions despite the big amount of water in the pitch when we arrived. Gaulois were the first score thanks to a nice lob of Andy ( Antoine assist) from the left wings. Germans were pushing hard to score and were very dangerous. Jacob and Camille manage to stop their attempt for a while but they finally succeed before the half time. Second period both teams were trying to get the three points. Gaulois scored in a free kick and were thinking to win the game. But in the last 5 minutes Germans managed to equalize after a ball loss in the midfield. End of the game 2-2. Thanks to the Germans for a fair game. Next game against Rangers this Saturday. MOM Gaulois : Andy who seems to be back on track MOM GAS : Bastian

Report

Unlucky GAS squad lost a point in a two-all draw against the French

GAS began strong despite difficult pitch conditions, but squandered too many good chances in the first thirty minutes of the game. After a post shot by Micha the French scored in the counter-attack. A crucial moment. Still GAS could pile up the pressure and Alex scored for the equalizer just before the half-time whistle. In the second half GAS got a bit tired and the French used a moment of confusion in the GAS defense for the 2:1. Afterwards the game played at a low pace until GAS' Stephan Lutz shrugged out the french wing-back and scored the 2:2 with a clever low shot in the near post out of nothing. The goal was a wake-up call for a strong final offensive of GAS but the French defense was too strong. Goals by the Breisgauer Alexander Zügel (first goal for GAS - Congrats & many more to come!) and Stephan Lutz
