Germans complete Gaulois Sweep
 "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at then end, the Germans win" This Gary Lineker quote felt truer than ever for Gaulois this season as we played 4 times Germans and lost all of the games. While previous encounters were overall dominated by Germans (especially last week) , today was another story as we put forth good team effort, managed to pass the ball very well and got most of the possession.  But getting the possession is not enough , especially against Germans talented strikers who took advantage of every single mistake from our side, while defending for most of the game.

More details on their four goals will no doubt be found in their report.  They led 2-0 after 30mn and Laurent managed to finish neatly a succession of 8 clinical passes.

2-1 halftime
Gaulois got back in the game with determination and got the equalizer after a 20m shot from luciano was slightly deflected by a German defender. While German defense started to look tired and seems to crackle under our pressure, their midfielders and strikers managed to put GAS back in and cooly converted into goals two set pieces (one penalty kick and one free kick). 4-2 final score and Gaulois will long regret their poor finish in the first and second half as well as some critical individual mistakes. But "c'est la vie" ....
Good luck to Germans for the rest of the season. Thanks to the referees for a game well handled.
