Nice Pitch
 A nice football afternoon with not too much sun and a debut for the Dutch on the Tanglin SC Pitch. The pitch was good with nice facilities so hopefully in future some more matches at Tanglin instead of some last minute shift of games from 17.00 to 15.00…….nn

Anyway the Dutch managed to get a team together, a nice mixture of seniors and juniors. Even ‘The Hood’ came back last minute to help us out. It was clear the playing patterns weren’t the same in the old days, maybe that is why we didn’t get the flow on as we would have liked.

Even though Ed made some good saves the inevitable happened where Ubin scored with the Dutch trailing trying to catch up. With a couple of chances we never really got close to take home any points.

Besides the four goals from Ubin some memorable moments:

n

· we learned that we should not try to shoot with our left foot if the weather is foggy;

n

· the hand of god only works if you are attacking and not when you are defending.

Hopefully we learn from this and turn it one day into our advantage……

Thanks to Ubin and the Refs for a fair game and at least we had a nice shower afterwards.
