A good day at the PSA for the SCC squad vs. a depleted Hibs squad (from what they put out in our first match). Nevertheless the opposition was still treated with respect, and was important that this was the case as at times they did cause good chances through the tireless effort and running of Bastian. Although Marc in goal proved to be a worthy match with some good stops to keep the Hibs attack at bay.
nOn the flipside, the SCC had many chances and had real success down the wide areas and channels especially with the terrific wing play of David on the Left who caused problems time after time. The pitch proved to be a real ‘battle’ with its gigantic size and boggy conditions in places though the SCC still aimed to play football which led to some good goals being scored.
nThe goals of the day came from Hutch who had two, Monaghan (shamed to mention that one), Anderson and HBT back from a long holiday who came on in the second half and bagged two as well.
nA good win and happy to get the 3 points. Good luck to the Hibs for the rest of the season and I am sure in seasons to come they will be a top 4 team.
