Casuals vs Nippon
Hot weather even for 5PM game at IT Tampines. Looked for third win in a row against one of the toughest contender in the league, Casuals.n

Made two change from last week 1-0 thriller due to injuries, the one is positive side as our first goalie Nabe is back. Whist our multi talented

n

sub-GK(and FW/MF), Kogo had a damage on his left knee ligament and need to be out for at least few months … we sincerely hope he’ll

n

come back sooner. Also our dynamo, Tomo needs to be in the bench with muscle problem. So we started as follows.

n

(GK )Nabe  DF – Taka, Hama, Ogi, Kossi, (MF) Masa(cap) Yusuke, Asa, Kin  (FW) Yossi, Yasu

n

n

We started off well with quick check and passing from defense thru mid to spearhead. Created several chances, finally Yossi dribbled into right side

n

of their goal line and delivered the grounder to middle where Yasu dashed into at perfect timing to put back into the net. 1-0. We thought we could

n

make it, but it was wrong... Shortly after, they fought back a few times then Nabe caught one of their cross and tried to kick out to deliver the ball to

n

our attacker – referee blew the whistle, why??? It looks like “six seconds” but without no precaution and even managed to be reached six-seconds

n

still blew it and gave indirect free kick to reds. Unpleasant, really. Managed to block away their attempt but their second cross ball delivered from

n

the loose ball in mid, as usual, delivered to one of their running MF in between DF and GK and goal was conceded. 1-1. We kept up our effort trying

n

to lead the game again, indeed had opportunities just missed to convert…again. Our DF paid extra attention to their good quality diagonal cross ball

n

delivery in between GK and DF and defended well, but allowed once to their same running MF who scored earlier with no chance for Nabe. 1-2. Right

n

before the whistle of 1H, conceded one more goal and finished 1-3.

n

n

Having said that, we were still positive about 2H and the next goal would be decisive one as we should get it. No subs made at beginning of 2H, again

n

good start with several chance made but unable to convert … then gave away a goal on one of their counterattack. 1-4. still early part of 2H and plenty

n

time left but incident happened. Likewise in a last few encounters, one of their central defender mostly tried to stop Yasu by foul, i.e. pulling jersey,

n

pushing and kicking from the behind as classic way of defending. One ball aimed Yasu from MF when their defender entangled Yasu from behind and

n

covered.

n

Yasu tried to put him away as was heavy, suddenly defender seemed to have misunderstood Yasu retaliated and headlocked him – good wrestling skill.

n

Surprisingly, referee showed two red card, why??? We were confused but the decision unchanged. From then on, 10 a side game, we lost out our top

n

scorer and they lost central DF. Taka OUT/Tomo IN, Asa OUT/Fuji IN and Yusuke OUT/Naka IN. we conceded one goal then Kin took it back. 2-5 and

n

game was over.

n

n

Now we consider how we confront Vikings who are getting tougher in a last few season without Yasu…

n

n

All in all, it was fair competition and thanked Casuals who surely look for upper side of the table. Good luck.

n

Thanked referees, fair and well handled except a couple of decision against us per described above.
