Anyway to the game and a Brewerkz squad shorn of 7 players who would normally start the game, missing key players such as Baldo, Thomas, Miranda, Aiken, Oliver does not help, never the less we had 15 turn up for this game and whilst we started incredibly slowly (we could have been 3 down in the first 10 mins) we started to impose ourselves onto the game and managed to get the lead from a corner and clinical finish from Opia to send the Brewerkz troops into Half time leading the game.
Latini clearly fired up for this game must have wondered how this could have happened but after a stiff talk by McCormick the 2nd half was a much better effort by the Microbrewers, but results and goals wise bettered by Latini. A mix up in the centre of defence allow Oliver his first of 3, we then took the lead from exactly the same method as the first, a corner from Parerria finished with aplomb by Opia for his 2nd of the game and for Brewerkz.
Latini to their credit never gave in and scored two within 10 mins, again thru the middle and again by Olivier.
Just when we thought it would be all square (and probably a fair result on the day) a long ball over the top got to Olivier who was at least 2 metres off side to finish coolly and send the Latini squad into raptures.
Not the best of games for Brewerkz who should have gotten something out of this one.
Well done Latini, never gave up. Some little niggles in this one but we will save them for next time.
