The SCC looked forward to this fixture very much indeed and welcomed quality regulars back into the team that were missing from the opening day fixture vs Brewerkz, these being Mehdi, Rogers, Gojereo so a superb squad was on show.
nThe game started very well for the SCC with good chances coming and going, more down to some very good saves from the Latini keeper but time was the telling factor when Tommy opened the scoring with a thunderbolt from outside the area. The SCC then went on to score at will really with JP scoring a great goal, Hutch doing well to slot one into the bottom corner and Dave from Romford with a cheeky chip to make the game 4 nil at half time.
nThe second half dropped in standard from the SCC and Latini sneaked their way back into the match but only when SCC scored another two goals from JP once again and Mehdi with a peach of a volley against his old club. This then made the SCC too lethargic and basically looked disinterested in the match though the workrate of Latini seen them get THREE consolation goals in the last 20 minutes which from the SCC point of view is not good enough.
nA disappointing end to the game in terms of performance and possession but the three points was welcomed along with some great finishing from all over the field.
