GAS - Latini 2 0
For the first time since the 2008 Plate Cup Finale where the Germans won in penalties (of course!), GAS was beating Latini on the unloved artificial pitch near Malaysia. GAS had a decent seized squad with 5 extremely good looking players on the bench whilst Latini on the other hand only had a very lonely guy covering the little hut on their side.
Game started well for the Latinos with more possesion and some decent chances. But as the game went on it was the germans getting used to the pitch and controlling the game. Yet the game was 0-0 after 40 mins! 40 Mins? Yes, the Ref blew the whistle a bit early and after telling him that Cosmo is 45 Mins each we played on for another 5 Mins. We? Well all except goalie Rene who went straight to the toilet only to come back after he finished his business. Anyway: HT (after 45): 0-0!
Second half saw the crucial point in the game with 2 players each sent of - no Details but one of the players surely feels really stupid for his behavior on and off the pitch during this phase...
The germans made the better use of this with two goals coming within some minutes from Mihael L´erotic and an Latino own-goal after a loooooooooooong throw from André.
Whilst GAS was able to substitute 4 times and bring on fresh legs Latini was not able to do so and turn the game the way they wanted.
MoM a tough one, Rene "the toilette" having a clean sheet, the Grauschläfen Dennis and Herrman not letting their stikers create any major chances, our itlalian beau Pipo di Pein for his fighting skills and Mihael L´erotic for his superb Zweikampfverhalten! Andre for the longest throw-ins ever seen (pretty good to have a 16 year old boy in the sqaud who makes frequent use of his hands!), the Ossi-Connection Gries Nockerl and Michael for some nice passing would also deserve it as well as the subs who fitted in just nicely! But it goes to the Russian mean machine Alexandre Bursakovic for again having to play as left back and having a superb game!!!
GAS staying as unpredictable as ever this season...
Thanks Latini´s for a good game and all the best for your runners up run!
