3 Bad Mistakes
Our first time at SJI, on a very overcast day, we could of probably done with floodlights from the start. We started the game quite brightly and Bing Bong put us ahead with a lucky(brilliant really) goal which reflected the balance of play, unfortunately, we went into a self destruct mode after that, a good Swiss equaliser from outside of the box albiet he had more time than he should of had. Then two more Swiss goals that I would only describe as spectator goals, yes we just stood and watched. As the first 45 got nearer to the break we showed a bit more steel and Zam who I had bought on after 35 minutes in a tactical swop did the job. 2-3 at the break and the all important next goal that we talked about will be the next one. Sure enough we get a free kick near the Swiss corner flag, the ball is floated in and Zam coming from 8 yards in heads home the equaliser......no its not to our utter dismay the linesman flags for offside and the referee fails to over rule it, claiming that is why he has linesman. It didn't stop him from over ruling two throw in decisions later in the game, constitency gents thats all we ask for. So thinking its 3-3 and its really 2-3 we concede another goal within 5 minutes, never was there a bigger turning point. 2-4 and time running out, 2 more subs, three at the back and three up front, we had to go for it, we got one goal back through Jamie and pushed them right to the end. Ultimately, it wasn't enough and we dropped another 3 points.
