Latini had to face again with multiple players absence but had the good news to have Andres back from injury.
No doubt, it is the most competitive Nippon team we have played in the last 4 years. Much stronger behind, two excellent players in the middle and with Toru they would have probably couple more points in the classification.
First 20 min Latini were still asleep especially at the back and in front but Nippon did not have any serious chances. Latini scored the opener after a long ball from Gaetan to Francois who passed over the defender for clear assist to David Trezegol for his first goal with Latini in 15 months after a severe injury last year.!! The wild bore is back!!!
Nippon reacted quickly and within ten minutes, after a long ball over our right back, the Nippon striker shot at the first post for a deserved equalizer. Latini finished the half much stronger, a one-two Francois_Matteo_francois on the right, followed by passing two Nippons for a center at the hedge of the box where our captain Luke sent a missile in the corner of the goal. 2-1 Latini!
Second half, the weather was much more accomodating and Latini took control of the game with multiple chances by Benji (fantastic 50 meters runs), Sylvain (very sharp on the right), and Luke (25 meters shot on the bar) previously concluded by a goal from Poulet after an excellent work from David.3-1
However, Nippon fought back and were dangerous on several occassions and we conceded another goal from our special: defender miss simple pass on the side and then we stay passive resulting in a one on one situation...goal 3-2.
Overall, a good game from Latinis. We could have lost it but we were serious enough behind and in front.
Man of the game goes to David Bayle for one goal and one assist. It could have gone to Gaetan and Brent who are just amazing behind, but I cant name two guys. Superb goal from our captain Luke.
Lastly, a sad event for Latini and for me since our emblematic player Pierre has decided to stop playing with us. It is a bit if Steven Gerard was to stop playing for Liverpool. All the best to him and obviouslt a mssive thanks for his commitment to the Latinis.
