Three points finally...
The match started at 3pm and it started off quite badly. Although we were missing a lot of regulars, we shouldn't use that as an excuse for our play in the first half. The fact that there was quite a number of players showing up only 20 minutes before kick-off though, could be the main reason for the lack of spirit and the lack of concentration.
Having said this, besides a good goal by Martijn ( after a great assist by Jamie's) and a rather clownesque own goal (the 'victim' claims withdrawal symptoms made him mistaken the goal post for a large cigarette) there was not much to write home about the first half. HT: HFC 1 - Rangers 2.
Second half showed some improved football by the Dutch and definitely more fire. Halftime talks made the Orange Lions roar. Four more goals followed, of which two from the foot of Jamie's and another two scored by Martijn. A disallowed perceived onside goal by the Rangers and an allowed ofside goal by the Rngers, made a few eye-brows raise ghere and there, but in the end it was the Dutch bringing home the points. FT: HFC 5 - Rangers 4.
Thanks to the Rangers for making it an exciting game (definitely exciting to watch) and all the best in the remainder of the season. Refs, thanks for a solid game.
