Late comeback earns well deserved point
A nice flat surface awaited the match at Dempsey and Ubin would be looking to play the ball on the deck.

We knew that Vikings would provide a good physical contest and although there was some glimpes of nice football from Ubin in the first half it was the Vikings who edged it.  Vikings tended to be first to the ball more often and took advantage of their pace in attack with a well taken goal.

1-0 at half time, the instructions were simple; be quicker for the second ball and keep better possession.

Ubin started ok and kept some nice possesion, but the Vikings pounced on a loose pass in the midfield and took their chance ruthelesly.

2-0, but Ubin's head didn't drop and some fresh legs were added.  |As the half wore on it looked like all Ubin's efforts would be in vain with the crossbar denying Annuar's nice header.

The Vikings began to sit on their lead and Ubin found more energy, Jon C adding a more robust dimension up front and driven in the midfield by Rob and Jeremie.  Finally we got the break with 15 mins to go, Min makes a break into the penalty area; a great touch, spin and tidy left foot finish - game on!!

The pressure was maintianed and Min's free kick into the box was headed back by Jon for Joel to bundle in.

Vikings were understandbly frustrated with losing a 2 goal lead and for the last 5 mins raised their game to keep the result in doubt until the final whistle and it felt like a victory for Ubin at the end due to the dramatic comeback - although i think a draw was the fair result.

Thanks to Vikings for another competitive match.
