OGS fails to hold on
Once again OGS could not line up their best 11. But this game was the opportunity to play a last time with and to thanks two great OGS players that will be sorely missed: Captain Eric, and Midfielder Jean-Charles, both leaving Singapore.
This game also help us try 2 very talented players that will no doubt bring a lot to our team. First half was one of the best produced by OGS this season, as players were well in position, move the ball around nicely, and logically got the opened through a fantastic ball volleyed in by Fred. f
Unfortunately OGS could not hold on that advantage and could not resist the accelaration of Vikings in 2nd half, boosted by Thomas Sorensen, playing upfront. Vikings would score two goals thanks to his speed and passing skills perforing our defense, and a third with a deflected free kick. OGS would start pushing again in the last 10 minutes but that was too late, even though Fabian managed to score towards the end.
Thanks to Vikings for another well spirited game. Thanks to the referees, probably the best trio of the league.
Season is over, not a happy ending but we definitely improved with score sheets tigher than those early in the season. With a better physical condition we should be more dangerous next year
Happy holidays and see you all next season.
