Another unlucky day
The game started under a dark grey sky and singing birds. Nippon were quicker than us to settle in and took advantage of the slow start of OG defense to put one in after 5mn.

OG would react and cover the field better, managing to contain the fast Japanese offensive players. A slower than usual Nippon defense would help OG strikers getting a few opportunities in the first half. This includes a face off between Tamby and Nippon's goalkeeper who would deflect the ball perfectly.
1-0 Halftime

Second half started as the first ended, with a balanced possession of the ball and both teams attacking fiercely. OG would increase their pressure on Nippon's defense but Nippon would score again after 15 min, due to our poor judgement of an offside and a fast run from Nippon left winger. This would definitely upset and wake up OG and the last 30 min would be an attack-defense with OG getting most of the possession and Nippon trying to contain us. Numerous opportunities were created, Luciano scored, Tamby's bicycle kick would send the ball on the post... There was also that very confused action close to Nippon's goal where the ball crossed the line but was quickly cleared out by Nippon's defender. None of the referee saw it in, so no goal awarded to OG...
Final score 2-1 for Nippon, and lots of regrets for Gaulois. Thanks to Nippon for a fair game and good luck for the rest of the season. No comment on the referees.
