A hot day on a poor service at SJI for the cup game versus Rangers.

The game began and the Casuals were immediately into their running and as Tom raced down the right a cross shot from the byline flew in at the near post for an early lead. From there on the Casuals dominated, 2 fine goals from Paul and one from Gordon made it 4 at the break and the Reds could have had more with more precise passing.

Half time and Casuals made 3 changes, the Rangers also brought on a number of faster younger players and suddenly the Red's defence was creaking. Rangers scored twice and should have scored at least one more - before Franny and a fortunate mishit cross from Tom found the net. The Reds had further chances to score more but did not. A late Rangers goal completed a rather farcical scoreline..

An entertaining game but one where Casuals were far from their best and will look to improve next week.
