Dry as a bone
Rangers turned up to the scorched pitch with a certain degree of belief after 2 wins and a draw in their last 3 fixtures. However, with the mercurial spaniard pulling players away for a bucks celebration, Rangers were thin for this contest. Thanks to Jeremy & Ozzy for making it at the last minute to allow us to start with a decent 11! We matched the Lions in just about every department throughout and the 3-0 scoreline didnt reflect the true nature of the game. A couple of individual backline errors cost us the first 2 goals and the third was down to the Rangers having only 9 men on the pitch. Possession was fairly even but Rangers lacked the final ball and didnt really have that many clear cut chances on goal.

I'd like to mention that the referee completely lost his way in the 2nd half. There was absolutely no consistency in his decisions. At least 3 times the opposition  retaliated in a manner that deserved a yellow but nothing was given. However, one of our players received a 2nd booking (rightly so) for retaliating & another of our players received a straight red (which was garbage!!).

The overall game was generally played in a good spirit but could have easily got out of hand due the refs inconsistent calls.
