A Win but Not a 5 Star Performance
 A sunny day on a narrow uneven pitch at Turf City for the game versus the Lions.

Casuals started in shambolic fashion, allowing the Lions a number of clear chances and were thankful to Marc in goal..  20 mins in an the Casuals improved a little - a corner leading to Jamie rather slicing a volley, which looped over the keeper and in.  10 mins later and a good Casuals move and final pass from Mal found Mooney who curled home with his left foot.  Franny had a couple of chances to extend the lead but in truth Casuals were fortunate to be 2 up at the break..

The second half and again the Lions spurned a couple of clear chances before Mooney got away and centred for Gordy to stab home..  A great throughball from Ross R led to Mooney making it 4.  From there on the Casuals passed the ball better, with Paul doing well in the centre and looked a threat going forward.  At the other end the Lions eventually got on the scoresheet, but a sharp pass from Doug led to Mooney making it 5 to keep the margin comfortable..

3 good points, but the Casuals will need to defend better than this ongoing as the Lions could have had 5 themselves on the day..
