One of those days...
... on which the majority of players was suspended, had to work, was on holiday or injured.
3pm came this Saturday with only a handful (and two extra fingers) of Orange Lions ready to kick-off; needless to say that this wasn't nearly enough to start the game. While it took another 20 minutes to have the minimum required number in place, it took just one-tenth of this time period more to find the Dutch 1-0 behind. Not a very promising start.
During the course of the game eleven more goals followed, of which three were scored by the Dutch. Two of those secured Daniel's man-of-the-match election.
All in all a disappointing match, although the Dutch showed a great spirit despite the lack of resources. Thanks to the ref and Latini for their patience before kick-off. As this coming Saturday we will play the Japanese, I would like to say to the Dutch: cancel your holidays (your wife will understand), leave your job for what it is (your boss, client, team, shareholders will understand) and bring your wheelchair to the pitch (your doctor will understand)... we have to win this one!
