 With an almost complete squad, on a very good SSS pitch, and nice weather, Gaulois expectations from the game were fairly high, especially given that our last encounter against the Germans had result in a very tight game, lost only 0-1.
However, we never really managed to produce a good passing football, nor show enough commitment and composure to really compete with the Germans. More troubling was also a lack of solidarity between players, shouting at each other instead of compensating each other mistake. We did have some good but too short periods in both halves, culminating each in a clear scoring opportunity. But overall the German team, well organized , disciplined and commited from start to finish, deserves to win the game. Congrats to them.
