Wasn't so easy after all!
Rangers made a great start controlling midfield and being the more creative team. You could hear the cries to step it up from Casuals management as they sent there trademark long ball forward.
Most attacks in open play were dealt with fairly easily by a strong back four with Ned and Shane holding strong. But Rangers had less success with Casuals set pieces and our inability to deal with them very well.

First goal came after a long ball caught Shane off guard and lead to Dom breaking free, With Shane chasing down and what looked like a slip, Shane brought down the sticker resulting in a penalty which was well converted. 1-0 Casuals.

Rangers continued to press with number of good moves, one saw a great ball being put through from Christian in the path of an oncoming naughty who shot over the bar.

Then a moment of class as Christian beat one defender and curled the ball from outside the box into the far top corner, 1-1 and game on.

As mentioned Rangers were struggling with set pieces and the casuals were able to capitalise on that with their second goal, As a ball was swung in, Rangers failed to clear and it fell to a Casuals player who blasted the ball off the underside of the bar. 2-1 Casuals.

Quite often this season Rangers heads would have gone down but not today. Just before the break saw a fantastically crafted goal, Shane delightful touch to Jeremy was sent to the feet of naughty who's one-two with Christian split the defence leaving Naughty to finish Henry style across the keeper into the far corner. 2-2

Only change at the break was Craig for Joaquin in an attempt to help better deal with the set pieces.

After the break Casuals continued to press however the only damage done was to Rangers keeper Pepe who got hammered by the opposing player as he cleared the ball, A cut above the eye and some double vision resulted in a hasty substitution with Sybe picking up keeping responsibility.

Rangers continued to play well and a ball over the top found Todd in acres of space with only the keeper to beat, despite toddy hitting the ball well the keeper pulled of a great save to keep the game level which is how it finished.

Man of the match today is pretty hard to call, Naughty had a great game in Midfield as did Christian & Cristian, Todd ran his ozzy arse off and was unlucky not to get a winner and Ned & Shane were solid at the back However Jeremy had a cracking game and put in tackle after tackle so he just about pips it.

All in all a great performance from Rangers today who looked comfortable in midfield and dealt well with the majority of casuals attacks. The preparations of Rangers for next season is well underway and once the team have had more chances to play together things can only get better.
