A Fair Result

The Rangers started this game full of confidence following a strong performance the previous week, with new Brazilian flair on the right flank and Scottish steel in the defence we were ready to have the French chasing shadows.

Game started with Rangers in the ascendancy controlling the game although not causing too much trouble in attack.  After 20mins it appeared the legs gave way after only 7days rest and the French came back in the game culminating in a goal past young Alvaro from 20yrds. 1-0 to the French.

Strong words at the team talk inspired Rangers into playing just a little better in the second half, better shape restored we went for the equalizer only to be thwarted by the speed of the French defence until the very last minute.  3 French players got in each other’s way resulting in a penalty which Manager Black calmly stroked it into the centre of the goal.

1-1 a fair result.
