A good fight....
After most of our players having participated in the morning/early afternoon - danish seaman church 5-aside tournament, we all made it out to ITE Tampines in time for the kick against Rangers, and once we got the uniforms sent in our direction in a taxi we were good to go.
First half saw a lot of pressure from Rangers, but Eu Jin in goal kept is in the game with a very very solid performance. After some 20 minutes we started to find our footing and we started to play the ball around well. At the 25 minute mark a beautfiully contructed attack including our central midfielders and two strikers resulted in a 1-0 goal for the Vikings, Courtesy Cpt Morgan.
During the last minutes of the first half our playmaker Morten Ranck had to leave the pitch with cramps (in both legs) and this saw Marcco entering the pitch. 2nd half was a uphill battle for the tired Viking legs and midway to through the half one of our defender were court behind the defensive line playing 2 attackers onside, Toddy cooly lopped the ball over our keeper and 1-1 it was.
The rest of the game saw chances in both ends, and Kenni could have sealed the deal for the vikings on several occassions.
Well done Vikings, some of you played more than 170minutes of football on the day... We continue to loose players to injury, and the numbers are getting less and less - but we will still try to bring a game to hotspurs on Saturday.
MOM goes to Cpt Morgan after a great match, that saw him running for close to 90 minutes -well done mate !!!
