A professional display by a strong Brewerkz team against a depleted and down to the bare 11 Lions team. This game was effectively over as a contest within the first 25 mins after some great play by Brewerkz and some neat finishing first by Matt for the opener. The 2nd was soon to follow after  some clever play by Shadack and Pat Mancha for what looked like suspiciously offside but not given by the officials who were well placed to make the call and for Mancha to coolly finish rounding the keeper for the 2nd. Just before the half Cyr finished a great move with a shot in the "top corner" (Dez's catch phrase show) for Brewerkz to lead 3-0 at the break.

Things got much worse for the Lions after the break with one of their players coming off and with no replacement for the lions and with Brewerkz making changes and getting stronger this did not help the Lions cause and Brewerkz finished the game off with a first goal for Fulvio and our 4th from a corner, a 2nd from Pat Mancha for the 5th, Neil Donovan finished off a move at the far post for the 6th and some unselfish play by Mancha allowed created the 7th and his first goal in the Cosmo for the Brewerkz managers son to get on the score sheet Philip McCormick to round off proceedings.

All in all not the contest we expected from the Lions made especially difficult when several key players are missing from either flu or work commitments from their squad. Special thanks for Steve Watts for the loan of balls, goalie shirt and a few other things we were missing today and a special note for the man of the match who was the Lions keeper, who had a superb game if it had not been for him this game could well have seen much bigger scoreline - well done. The Lions team were gracious in defeat and we wish them well for the rest of the season, good to see you again Steve, always good to catch up mate - Kevin.

Scorers Harding 1, Mancha (2), Mannini 1, Donovan 1, McCormick Phil 1.
