From Boggy Field to Lunar Landscape

Its seems that week in week out we have to make comments about the every changing pitches in Singapore, perhaps its about time that we accepted that grass doesn't work here and we book SSS from mid-day to midnight every Saturday and just get on with it....hang on thats not a bad idea. Bedok has now gone without rain for all of two weeks and frankly it is dangerous in parts, real ankle breaking material, although if you view it from the stalls it looks like Wembley.

Anyway game got underway and pardon the pun but we had the Lions share of the possesion, no surprise then when Faz clear through on goal slotted home after 20 mins, we got a second 10 minutes before the break and I thought we showed that our league position was justified. 2-0 at the break and I couldn't see anything other than a Lions victory, that was until an error of judgement(opinion) by the referee awarded Ubin a penalty. The most reliable and oldest right back in the cosmo 76 year old Chalky from down under was a judged to have mistimed a tackle, god forbid never. Lions heads were battered and shattered at this stage and there was no stopping the Ubin equaliser. It came, we sulked and dropped two valuable points.

Never mind, we all know about wounded animals. I should get an oscar for this report its not how I feel at all.
