A hot day on a parched surface at Tampines for the game versus the Lions.

The ailing Casuals were again short of regulars for the game but started well and looked dangerous in the early stages.  They should have been ahead on the half hour when Franny broke and cut the ball back to Mooney who stroked home - the Casuals shocked to see the linesman flagging for a phantom offside..  Within 5 mins a mishit freekick let to a Taibi moment for Harpreet who went to pick the ball up and let the ball through his hands and legs for 0-1..

Second half and the Casuals, more preoccupied with formation than winning individual battles, struggled - not helped by letting in a succession of preventable goals and stuttered to a 4-0 defeat.  The worst I can remember for the club.  The Casuals do need to rebuild and refocus, allow injuries to heal, get other players fit, get back to playing a stable formation, play their football in the opponents half and focus on doing the basics right…
