Another 3 o-clock kick off for the Vikings and while the squad is getting thinner and thinner - the turnover in various kneesurgery/treatment cliniques around singapore is increasing. Yes, we are getting old - but we are all aiming to be back for next season.

The game started with some very positive play from the Vikings and after a nice build up, a slick move by charni and a convincing finish from Tommie we found ourselves 1-0 up. However it did not last many minutes before Lions capatilized on a misunderstanding between our midfield and defence that  gifted lions the equalizer.

For the remainder of the first half Vikings created many chances but some open chances for markko and naoki were missed and instead Lions, just before halftime, made it 2-1 when Vikings number 7 were caught ball watching (the fans are impatiently waiting for the usual number 7 to return).

In the 2nd half the Vikings started out very positive and with Bergholdt on the midfield we managed to retain the ball for longer and were looking quite structured going forward. Soon Tommie had a shot from the left edge of the box and while the ball looked goalbound and Vikings were abt to celebrate the lions goalkeeper amazingly managed to tip the ball wide of goal. Minutes later Morfar hit the bar and Jesper missed an open hearer from a corner,  and we started to realize that it was not our lucky day.

With 15 minutes to go Lions made it 3.-1 when our keeper failed to clear throughball and instead kicked it directly on the opponent who could easily tap it in.

Vikings, still high in spirit, are very much looking forward to a summerbreak - in order to regroup and get back to how we played the first 16-18 games of this season. Man of the Match was Peter Lund, who were more or less behind every chance created on the day.

Thanks to Lions for a fair game - and thanks to Brad and his linesmen who ones again delivered solid performances.
