3 HEADERS & 3 POINTS ON THE BOARD!
It was a scorching afternoon at the SSS, so the team with the most determination and stamina was going to prevail.

Ubin started well, keeping possession nicely and having a greater territorial advantage.  Pete broke from midfield early to find space in behind the defence, but skewed his shot wide - a boobling mis hit volley from Jon caught the keeper off guard and hit the crossbar!

Ubin had plenty of pressure and many corners, Min, Joel and Matt all went close close - with Matt's shot very well cleared off the line.

The second half required more of the same and patience would brong it's reward.  Matt H finally broke the deadlock, heading home nicely from Min's corner.  Ubin relaxed too quickly and OG replied with a quick breakaway goal - how did that happen, Giles had barely touched the ball all match 1-1.

A great reaction from Ubin; Min cheekily shot from the kick off, which was only just tipped over.  From the resulting corner Jon C flicked home, using the pace from Min's perfectly whipped in cross.

Ubin continued to have the better of the exchanges and were rewarded with a third and bit of breathing space when Joel lept like a salmon to head home Jamie's curling free kick.

Very satifying to get 3 points under our belt and thanks to the French for a fair and competitive game and best of luck for the rest of the season.
