Not the Most Ideal Start
SCC were always expecting a difficult match against Brewerkz and today was no different!!
From the start SCC never really seemed to get in their stride but found themselves 2 goals up from a smart freekick from Adam and a good driving run from Scott Anderson which ended in a goal. The Brewerkz looked dangerous had a good share of attacking play and chances but Adrian an Adam at the back dealt with their 2 good strikers well enough with Star mopping up behind.
Although, just before half time Brewekerz got a goal for their efforts which was deserved to be honest with you.
The SCC were told to gain some compsure in their passing and to keep focused and organised in defence. I would say the SCC looked far more comfortable in the second half and got another with Tommy heading in from a good cross from Alonso. Game over...or so we thought!
Changes were made in personnel but nothing too disruptive and with 8 minutes to go all seemed well but then football being football..... Brewerkz got another back and with 2 minutes left on the clock a silly foul was committed and as soon as I seen Chris Periera step up...I knew it was a goal!!! So a draw it remained although good work from matt Sutton on the right seen a good cross being delivered for Yossi at the back post who headed towards goal for the winner....but off the line from the defender!!!
A disappointed SCC squad was on view after the game especially when 2 goals up with 8 minutes to go, we all though job done! But as I said to the lads, the Brewerkz are a very good and useful team and deserved something out of the game. Hopefully they keep their squad together, as they will cause teams problems for sure!!
