Poor start to 2010
A tough lesson at the start of 2010. Firstly that we need to be at the ground at least 30mins before KO! The Hibs started the game well with a number of chances been created in the first 20mins that we should really have done better from. From then on though Nippon got their passing game working and their energy levels were higher than the Hibs.
Halftime 0-0.
Second half and the Hibs never got going. A nasty injury to Matt, hope it isn't too bad and you are back up and training again soon fella.
Nippon took the lead with a long ball on the diagonal that the defense didn't deal with and despite some good keeping from John the Nippon striker was the only one to react to get the goal. A second followed ten mins later. Adib pulled one back with a rocket from 25yards with 10 mins to go but Nippon held on for victory.
Back to the drawing board once more. More hard work needed across the pitch. Man of the Match to Clarky who was one of only a few players whose work rate was up to scratch and managed to cause some problems for the Nippon defenders as well as helping out the out numbered miefield.
