(GK)Kim (DF) Tomo(Ue), Yuki, Oghi, Kossi(Ito B) (MF)
Asada was in charge of a couple of games incld this one against Lions during absence of captain masa, picked up stating squad as follows.
(GK)Kim (DF) Tomo(Ue), Yuki, Oghi, Kossi(Ito B) (MF)
Since lost the first game to Spurs, we wanted to recover from that with good result today - before we went into the game ref was adamant
to call for penalty when deflected ball accidentally hit right hand of our defender soon after kick off. Goal conceded so early? Nope. Kim denied
it as jumped to the right side at the right timing….whew. But shortly after that, their left MF was quick enough to control their cleared ball and
looped over Kim – nil to one. We fought back shortly after by Yossi’s clever long range shot using follow wind – level the game. In mid of the 1st
half, Yasu one on one with keeper with good through ball from MF – led two to one then 1st half ended. We put fresh leg Andy from the beginning
of 2nd half, and started off well as everybody had good motivation/concentration try to kill the game. Worked very hard and we rewarded a couple
of goals by mid of the 2nd half – 3rd goal by Yossi who put back of the net from right hand side in the penalty area and 4th came from good cross
by Kossi who dribbled deep into right hand side of the pitch as Yasu shot on target with good accuracy. Led by three. Whilst Lions never gave up,
they also put some fresh legs and kept attacking as conceded one more goal in late 2nd half. We substituted 4 more(Kogo, Ue and Ito brothers)
to have finished the game 4 – 2. This was what we looked for. We should keep it up and continue to do in this manner. Many thanks Lions for
tough and fair competition throughout of the game except one occasion – In mid of 1st half, Tomo happened to do the late charge against
one of MF around left side of our pitch when he chased the ball. This MF immediately slapped Tomo’s face when Tomo apologized
for it. The best part was that Ref gave nothing for it(missed the scene???) and continued the game. We could not help frowning.
