This Cup game gave us the chance to redeem from our two leagues games lost against the Hibs. This new comer in the league have much more quality than the number of points in the league table and this Saturday was not difference than expected. Lucky, they rested their playmaker Ben on the bench for 60 min.

The key for Latini was to be up to the physical challenge and take our chances to score when they came not to end up with another frustration.

Hibs started better than us with an intense pressing but with no real danger for Cuong. It took us at least 20 min to develop our football and we scored the opener after a great move Nico-Adrien-Luke with a one touch from our Rital Stalion to Olive Magaud who did not miss the chance to score a beautiful goal with his left foot. We had 5-6 chances shared between Daniele and Olive but both could not finish for unexplained reasons. On a corner in favour of the Hibs, the ball was cleared by Latini’s defence to Daniele whistle heading for a counter attack suddenly kicked a 45 meters lob directly into the net for one of the top goal this Cosmo league season . Well done le rital! 2-0 for Latini.

The half time speech was oriented into keeping the boys focused since Hibs would fight until the end. Second half was another good one of football with Hibs fighting and Latini playing the ball in an opposition of style. Hibs came back into the game after a very nice free kick directly into the top corner. Nonetheless,Latini quickly reacted with a decisive thrown in by Brent to Daniele who outpaced the left back to deliver a Caviar on the line to Olive Cerf Magaud who finishes with his endless trump. The end of the game was more balanced in terms of ball possession but Latini had the best chances with Olive, Rod and Jun who shot a missile on the bar. (very good 20 min by our Japanese super star)

Bronze medals goes to Benji and Rod for a very active second half. Christer safe and performing as usual.

Silver medals to Darren improving game after game, Daniele and Olive who did really well upfront but should have killed the game earlier similarly to what they do on the dance floor. Olive had a very interesting game , defending a lot. A huge and impressive season for our goleador in terms of team impact.

Gold medals to Adrien and Luke who both run non-stop, played quality passes and fought like warriors. Special mention to Luke who stayed on the pitch with a sprained ankle while having lost most of its ligament. An inspiration to all of us. Well done boys

Interestingly enough we were missing 4 supposedly potential starters but this year we have a great and even group of players all aiming at the team’s best interest. Tickets for the line up and the group are getting expensive but still in a good and positive atmosphere. We need to confirm our results against OG and Nippon, two teams with lots of quality.
