A better start for Brewerkz than my beloved Liverpool
A solid start to the season for Brewerkz with a blistering 1st half performance that should have been enough to see off a spirited swiss team. Several gilt edged chances went begging for brewekz during a half of pace, threat and dominance by Brewerkz. The 2-nil scorelines should and could have been much more only for some woeful finshing, most notiby by Kelly Emmanuel. However lets focus on the positives (and there plenty of them). Two goals up at half time with goals from from Sawal and Emmanuel and a solid all round performance. 2-0 and next goal is the most important and credit to the swiss the pulled it back to 2-1. Last year heads may have gone down, but Brewerkz simply notched up another gear and goals from Sawal and opia made the game safe...or so we thought at 4-1. McCormick made 5 changes which really should not have made much difference to the strength of the team, but it seemed to backfire wth the swiss puling two goals back to make it much closer than the match actually was. Final whistle was good to hear. Brewerkz will need to learn from this and I am sure we will. Credit to the swiss who never gave up and ran till the end. man of the match for me was Kelly Emmanual who was a constant threat from start to finish. am still wondering how he missed that sitter .....??
