Our Viking Cup home pitch @ Jap Ass was hosting this weeks match. The pitch was in fairly good condition depite the heavy downpour. It was job done by Vikings, as we secured 3 points against league strugglers Gaulois.

Lars Moeller, Ranck & Tommie all came close in the first half, but with Naoki Fukushima scoring the opener from a cross/shot. I'm sure he claims it was a shot on goal. Regardless it was 1-0 at Half Time as Steven was hardly tested in our goal.

The french kept on fighting in the second, but Ranck scored the 2-0 goal from close range. Credits to Gaulois, who continued to believe in themselves despite only collecting 2 points this season. They were awarded for their work rate, when they pulled one back to make it 2-1.

We swapped things a bit around and brought on two new strikers. Charni & Chris kept the french defence busy and with quality passing through midfield we created several chances. Charni scored a hattrick in 25mins to make it 5-1 at the end.

Despite good composure from the french side, there was really never any doubt about the final outcome. 5-1 might have been a bit harsh, but it was a deserved win for Vikings.

Best of luck to Gaulois, hope you get your first win soon.
