Job Done

Game was not as easy as the result may suggest. Latini leading 2-0 at half time but Hollandse managed to get 1 back and made it 2:1, score was close for about 60min. However overall Latini managed to get the job done and collect 3 points. As much as the Hollandse team were close for large parts of the game, Latini defended well enough and Cuong had fairly little do in goal. In the end the hard work paid off combined with the fact that we had some of our regulars coming in from the bench in the 2nd half ensured we got 3 points and a good result. 4 goals from our 3 forwards (2 for the Italian Bomber, 1 for Poulet aka the Chicken, 1 for Mr Magoo) will do good to ensure they stay confident and continue increasing their goal tallies in the coming games, plus 1 for Kamel coming in from the bench.
Overall a decent Latini performance to ensure we took home the spoils. At times we played some nice football with quick passes and good movement. Man of the match is a tough one no one really with a stand out performance. This week it would have to go to Olive Michel aka the Chicken for tireless running upfront, combined with a goal this week to add to his tally. He always puts in a hard shift and tires out the defenders around him.
Credit to the Hollandse team for always trying to play the ball on the ground and find a team mate, maybe a little too much at times. Nonetheless thanks for a good game and good luck for the season.
Referee and team had a solid game – excellent on the day.
We have made it 7 wins in a row, hoping to improve our record from last year which saw us win 11 games on the trot. However, this week will be a tough test against a solid looking ISA Lions team...
