All teams were present at the Dutch Club at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Raymond Weil Cosmo League. The only agenda item was the structure of the league. At the AGM 2009 a new structure was narrowly defeated, but the teams had mandated the committee to go back to work and to come up with a few more options at the EGM. Teams were also invited to submit their ideas. The committee presented five options and the teams voted in three rounds of votes (not unlike selecting the venue for the Olympic Games...). Ultimately, option A, which is the status quo prevailed 9:6 over option B, which would have seen the league split after the first round of games into two divisions.
The 2010/2011 campaign will therefore be played with the same format, i.e. a home-and-away round robin and the format of the cup/plate also remains unchanged.
The date for the AGM will be communicated soon.
