For the neutrals this would have been interesting watching but unfortunately there were no neutrals… Rest Of the World literally means everyone else! As Anglo-Saxon warriors this challenge was given to us and accepted without no question of concern… true warrior behavior… and like so many of the battles before us we were outnumbered from the start… in fact 143Million Vs 6.71 Billion! However, we have been mighty winners in the past and now we are gracious losers and will learn from the challenge that was set to us. They say defeat is not the worst of failures, not to have tried is the true failure! So the challenge of this game was set with many Anglo-Saxons not being able to make the game, a depleted side yet still an amazing team with all the right attributes to succeed. The game started well and ROW seemed under pressure from the first whistle with the AS team moving forward with pace, drive and passion. A great goal from Scotty Ando was nothing than we deserved and AS were controlling the game with some rare half chances from ROW. An equalizing half chance from ROW sent both teams into the half time break pretty much even. Second half saw the loss of two of the AS team and the third and only sub not able to carry on, no subs for 40mins!! This was our biggest down fall and since the ROW continued to make fresh subs into their correct positions the game changed and became very once sided. No disrespect to the ROW who at times played great passing football but even they will admit a second half team of AS was like their Christmas’s had all come at once. In the spirit of the game we thank the ROW for organizing this and for the return leg we will repay the favor and organize on very soon. The second game will be exciting and even more enjoyable… great idea and great fun. Thanks to all! Lastly, I expect in the return fixture ROW rise to the occasion like we did with no excuses!!
